Desilter in Drilling Rig

Desilter is mainly composed of shale shaker, manifold, cyclones. Desilter in drilling rig is a third phase solids control equipment used in the solid control system of the drilling fluid. We commonly use 4" and 5" cyclones to separate solid particles with a particle size 15-47μm in drilling fluid. HYANG series desilter is widely used in oil and gas drilling, horizontal directional drilling, sewage treatment and cyclone desilting separation in river dredging.

HYCN series desilter has a high separation capacity and a wide separation particle size range. The bottom outflow of the cyclone is shaped like an umbrella with "wet bottom" sand discharge, so that the particles in the separation zone can be quickly discharged, reducing the probability of underflow port clogging. It's quipped with advanced mud shale shaker with features large processing capacity, low noises, and long screen services life. Symmetrical liquid inlet mechanism makes the swirling flow distribution reasonable and stable.                               

Desilter in drilling rig is designed according to the principle of particle sedimentation. The separation medium drilling fluid generates a certain pressure and speed through the sand pump and spirals in along the inner wall of the cyclone. The coarser particles flow along with the swirling flow under the action of centrifugal force and gravity. The inner wall of the vessel spirally sinks and is discharged from the bottom flow port, and falls on the fine-mesh vibrating screen below to be separated, and the remaining medium spirally rises along with the cyclone.

Installation and commissioning

1. Desilter should be installed after the desander, that is the end of the second tank, and the base must be placed stably.

2. Connecting pipelines between the inlet and outlet of desilter and other equipment adopts hose lines, kindly minimizes the length and turns as much as possible.

3. Shaker screen tension should be appropriate, also tensioned screen should be smooth and wrinkle-free.
