
Drilling Mud Decanter Centrifuge

Drilling mud decanter centrifuge, or oilfield decanting centrifuge, is a fifth phase solid particle control equipment in the drilling solids control system. HYANG uses the principle of centrifugal sedimentation and separation to separate the fine clay and fine sand ( 2~5μm and 5~7μm) solid particles in the drilling fluid and balances the viscosity of the drilling fluid in the drilling field. It is the important equipment for solid-phase particle separation and control in the field of environmentally friendly drilling waste mud treatment. HYLW series decanter centrifuge is mainly used for oil and gas drilling, CBM drilling, drilling waste management, etc.
Working principle
HYLW decanter centrifuge uses the high-speed rotation of the drum to drive the slurry that enters the drum to rotate at a high speed. The slurry is thrown on the wall of the drum to form a liquid circle. Solid particles in the liquid circle are hundreds or even thousands of times larger than its own gravity. The centrifugal force of the drilling centrifuge overcomes the resistance of the mud viscosity and quickly settles on the inner wall of the drum to form a solid phase layer, and the liquid forms a liquid phase layer. The ratio of the centrifugal force of the solid particles in the fluid circle of the drilling mud decanter centrifuge to its own gravity is called the separation factor of the centrifuge. A centrifuge with a large separation factor can separate finer particles from the mud.
