How Does TBM Slurry Separation Plant Work?
Aug 19, 2022
Tunnel Boring Machine(TBM) is a cutting-edge technology in trenchless construction. It is a fully mechanized construction method in underground excavation construction. It pushes the shield machine in the ground and supports the surrounding through the shield shell and segments. The surrounding rock is prevented from collapsing into the tunnel. At the same time, the soil is excavated with a cutting device in front of the excavation face. It is transported out of the tunnel by the excavation machine, and is pushed in by the jack at the rear, and the precast concrete segments are assembled. A mechanized construction method for tunnel structures is formed. Since a large amount of mud is required in TBM construction process, if it is discharged arbitrarily, it will not only waste water resources but also cost a lot, so the TBM slurry separation plant comes in handy. The mud with drilling cuttings and mud sand is purified and separated to meet the requirements of recycling, thereby saving costs, reducing waste of water resources, and protecting the local environment effectively.
Huayang TBM slurry separation plant is mainly composed of shale shaker, mud desander, mud desilter, centrifugal sand pump, mud agitator, jet mud mixer, mud tank and other mud solid control equipment.
Huayang TBM slurry separation plant uses shale shaker as the primary separation equipment. The function of shale shaker is to pretreat the mud and water to remove larger particles such as agglomerates and blocks. The separation of coarse particles adopts multi-layer shale shaker to meet the classification requirements of particles. Different sizes particles are processed by the different meshes of the shale shaker screen to achieve the mud particles that meet the requirements of on-site use. During the treatment process, the particles larger than the mesh number of the screen are excluded from the system, and the slurry filtered by the screen flows into the mud tank under the shale shaker, and then the mud in the mud tank is pumped into the desander or de-sander by centrifugal sand pump. The medium and fine particle slurry separated by the shale shaker is refined again, and the particle size of the slurry is successively reduced to meet the requirements of on-site recycling.
