Desilter

The desilter is mainly composed of a shale shaker, a manifold, cyclones, etc. The desilter is a three-level solids control equipment used in the solid phase control system of the drilling fluid.

Desilter has a high separation capacity and a wide range of separation particle size. The bottom outflow of the cyclone is shaped like an umbrella "wet bottom" to discharge the sand so that the particles in the separation zone can be discharged quickly, reducing the probability of underflow orifice clogging.  The matched shale shaker has large processing capacity, low noise, and long screen life. The symmetrical liquid inlet mechanism makes the swirling flow distribution reasonable and stable operation.

The desilter is designed according to the principle of particle sedimentation. The separation medium drilling fluid generates a certain pressure and speed through centrifugal pump and spirals in along the inner wall of the cyclone. The coarser particles flow along with the swirling flow under the action of centrifugal force and gravity. The inner wall of the vessel spirally sinks and is discharged from the bottom flow port, and falls on the fine-mesh shale shaker below to be separated, and the remaining medium rises spirally along with the cyclones.
