Desander in Drilling Rig

Desander in drilling rig site is a combination of cyclone desander and drilling fluids shaker. The main structure of the equipment is arranged in two upper and lower parts, the cyclone is arranged on the upper part, and the lower part is a circular shale shaker. The exciter is driven by an excitation motor to keep the entire screen box in a forward circular shape and track vibration. Mud desander is a secondary solids control device in the solids control system, used to separate solid particles larger than 47 microns in the drilling fluid.

Working Principle of Drilling Fluids Desander

The mud generates a certain pressure and speeds through the centrifugal pump and enters spirally along the inner wall of the cyclone. Under the action of centrifugal force and gravity, the coarser particles spirally sink along the inner wall of the cyclone, and are discharged from the bottom flow outlet, and the fine meshes falling below vibrate. Separated on the sieve, the remaining medium spirally rises along with the cyclone and enters the third-stage separation equipment desilter from the overflow port for further purification treatment. This ensures that the treated mud is better processed by the next-level equipment, and at the same time reduces the workload of the next-level equipment.
