How Does Shale Shaker Work?

Drilling fluid shale shaker is the first-level solid control equipment used in the drilling mud purification system. It adopts the imported vibration motor, which is suitable for the oil drilling fluid purification. At the same time, it can also be used for the underflow shaker of the mud cleaner. Shale shaker has high vibration intensity, large screening area, adjustable screen box angle, compact structure and excellent performance.

Shale shaker is the key equipment in the whole solids control system. It is used to handle and separate a large amount of drill cuttings when the mud is returned from the well shaft, so that the mud can enter the secondary separation equipment. The quality of its work directly affects the control effect of the entire solids control system. During the drilling process, the drilling fluid with a large amount of drilling cuttings is returned from the well, and the function of the shale shaker is to separate the cuttings from the drilling fluid, so that the cleaner drilling fluid enters the subsequent separation equipment.

Drilling fluid shale shaker is designed according to the vibration theory that the screen surface produces a linear motion trajectory. The vertical line of the two motors forms an angle A with the angle of the screen, so that the rotation directions of two excitation motors are opposite, and the excitation force generated by their mutual movement offsets each other in the X direction, and the excitation force is zero. In the Y direction, the excitation forces of two motors are superimposed on each other to drive the reciprocating motion of the entire upper and lower screen boxes along the Y-axis direction move forward, so that it is continuously thrown up and down to make the mud move forward. The mud liquid leaks into the mud tank through the screen, and most of the solid particles in the mud are screened out, thus playing the role of mud purification.
