In the drilling process, high-pressure mud helps to speed up the efficiency of the drilling rig and can remove cuttings in the drilling site. However, when the cuttings are mixed into the mud, the solid phase content in the mud will increase, resulting in a decrease in the application performance of the mud, unable to achieve multiple recycling, does not meet the sustainable development goals. In order to realize the sustainability of mud application and reduce the drilling cost, it is necessary to control the solid phase content in the mud, remove the sand and gravel particles, and realize the multiple reuses of the mud under the condition of ensuring the mud performance. The mud solids control system independently developed and produced by HYANG is a device for purifying mud and restoring mud performance. This system can purify the mud with high solid content returning from the wellhead step by step through its internal mechanical structure, dispensing, weighting, and other procedures, and then restore the application performance of the mud, to achieve the purpose of sustainable use of the mud.

Mud Purification Process

The solid phase content in the mud returned from the wellhead will be relatively high. In order to reduce the solid phase content, it needs to pass through the Shaker Shaker, Vacuum Degasser, Desander, and Desilter in sequence, medium-speed centrifuge, high-speed centrifuge, since this process belong to the process of mud pretreatment, the quality of mud treatment in this process will directly affect the next process, so it is necessary to strictly control each process of mud treatment. After purification treatment, the content of harmful solids in the mud will be significantly reduced, so that the mud can be recycled. At this time, the mud pump can directly inhale the mud to ensure the needs of the drilling project.

Shearing Dispensing Process

If the mud required in the drilling project has special requirements, the mud needs to be re-proportioned. After the purification process is completed, the mud enters the dispensing chamber. The slurry is sucked from the dispensing chamber by the shear pump, and the medicine added from the dispensing hopper is repeatedly sheared and mixed, and then the slurry of the mixed medicine can be injected into the slurry chamber, or the mud pipeline. The mud is pumped into the wellhead of the high-pressure manifold.

Aggravation Process

If the mud needs to be aggravated, it is necessary to mix a certain amount of barite in the mud. The specific working principle is: the sand pump sucks the mud from the aggravated chamber and then mixes the barite and other substances into the mud through the mud hopper, and stores the processed mud in the aggravated chamber or the mud storage tank. When the mud pump is used, the mud can be driven into the wellhead of the high-pressure manifold.

Mud Pump Up-Watering Process

In each type of mud solids control system, the water supply pipeline of the mud pump runs through each mud tank. In order to facilitate the storage of mud, a set of tank bottom valves will be arranged in each mud tank. This valve can be operated on the tank, and the mud pump can inject the mud into any mud tank according to the actual situation of the construction.
